Portrait prompts: studio headshots, street portraits, ID-photo styles and cinematic close-ups. Each spells out the light, expression and lens, so you only change who is in it.

4 tips for Portrait prompts

    Person first, mood second

    Age, hair and clothes come first, then a state like “quietly looking out of the window”.

    Light sets the character

    Rembrandt light feels calm, a softbox feels clean, neon rim light feels cinematic.

  3. 3

    Give the framing

    Close-up, half body or full body tells the model how much background to keep.

  4. 4

    Leave real people out

    Describe features instead of naming real people; public works can't be photos of real people.

Questions

Can I use these prompts as they are?
Yes. “Create with it” fills in the model and ratio too, and you can copy any prompt to use elsewhere.
Can I use my own photo as a reference?
Add it as a reference image on the create page; models that take references keep the person's features as well as they can. Don't publish works made from other people's real photos.
Can I use the images commercially?
Images you make are yours, subject to the terms of the model you used. Treat other people's works as references only.
